Thunderbird 2
Please note that you need a hosting product to read your emails with an Emailprogram (POP and/or IMAP). But if you have no hosting, you can read your Emails with our free webmail instead.
- Open Thunderbird 2
- Click on the Tools menu and select "accounts ..."
- Click below to the left "new account ..."
- Select "e-mail account" and click on "Next"
- Fill in all necessary fields with the following information:
Your name: Give your name as it appears from the field in outgoing messages
E-mail address: Give your full e-mail address (eg firstname.lastname @ domain.com) and click "Next" - Select incoming mail server "POP" and enter "pop.easyname.eu" (If you want to use IMAP, IMAP and choose, "imap.easyname.eu"). For a Outgoing Server "smtp.easyname.eu". Then click Next
- Enter for "Incoming Server Username" and "Outgoing Server Username" the name of your e-mail mailbox and click Next
- Enter any account name (eg My easyname mail account) and click Next
- Click Finish
- Click on the left of your Server Settings on "account". Select SSL at "Security and authentication"
- Click on the left "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" Select the appropriate outgoing mail server and click "Edit"
- Select SSL on "security and authentication" and click "OK"
- The first time you receive or send e-mails, you must use the password of your e-mail box.
- You have completed the setup and you can check your e-mail account on easyname now!
